TEST:
Resolution, Audio, Flash
We suggest that you close this window when your sound is playing properly and FLASH is running!
We STRONGLY RECOMMEND using HIGH RESOLUTION
(eg 1280 x 1024), 32 BIT COLOR, and a FULL SCREEN
for the best experience. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you use as large
a memory cache as possible.
AUDIO TEST:
You should be able to hear, "Testing 1... 2... 3..." at a comfortable level.
Trouble Shooting: If the sound is too loud
or too soft, check the hardware volume controls on the speaker or computer,
and the software volume levels. In Windows 98 -- other operating systems have
similar controls -- you can check the software settings at
Start / Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Volume Control.
Advanced Trouble Shooting: If there is no sound
at all, check that the speakers are plugged in to power and to the computer,
that the volume is not "muted", and that the audio works. You can
check that the audio works by bringing up the "Sound Recorder"
at
Start / Programs / Accessories / Entertainment / Sound Recorder and
playing "chimes.wav" from c:\windows\media. Sometimes,
if there is no sound (possibly caused by another program preventing it from
running), re-booting the computer will free up the audio playback programs.
FLASH TEST:
You should see a button in the window. When you click the button you should see a rotating message saying first: FLASH 5 is OK. Then a rotating message saying: FLASH MX is OK.
Trouble Shooting: If the animation "test" button
does not appear or the animation does not play, you need to:
Download FLASH.
You should download FLASH MX (also called FLASH 6), the latest player.
